Regan Beach

Lakeview Avenue

The City's oldest beach: a large lawn, observation deck, playground, restrooms and a sand volleyball court. Dogs are allowed only in the Dog Water Park area at the east end. Regan Beach West, the grassy knoll at Lakeview and Fresno avenues, is free to the public when it is not booked for a private event.

Bijou Community Park

Disc golf, a bike park, a skate park, a fenced dog park, volleyball courts, a meadow and a historic railroad exhibit.

The Forest Service lists no fee for the site. A day-use fee has been proposed but not adopted.

Rec center day pass

1100 Rufus Allen Blvd

A day-use pass covers the gym, pools, exercise room and walking track. Posted rates: adults 18 to 54 are $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents; youth 17 and under, seniors 55 and over, and people with a permanent disability are $8 and $12. Medi-Cal, WIC and veterans pay $3 per adult and $2 per youth. Children 3 and under swim free with a paying adult during recreation drop-in swim. A shower alone is $3 for adults.

Free and low-cost events

The calendar marks events with a posted cost, such as the free Fire Rescue pancake breakfast on Oct 3 and free general admission at Camp Richardson's Oktoberfest on Oct 3 and 4.
